Fitness Center: the Terms of Use

Chapter 1. GENERAL PROVISIONS

1. The Regulations of the Fitness Center of the National Library of Belarus (the Regulations hereinafter) are developed in conformity with the legislation of the Republic of Belarus and the Charter of the National Library of Belarus and regulate user service procedure at the Fitness Center of the National Library of Belarus (the Fitness Center hereinafter).

2. The Fitness Center includes a gym room and a sauna.

3. The Fitness Center serves all customers except for children under 11 years of age.

  • Children from 11 to 16 years of age must be accompanied by parents (responsible adults) and (or) a personal trainer.
  • Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by parents (responsible adults) when using the sauna.
4. The Fitness Center services are paid (both cash and cashless payments are accepted).

5. To use the Fitness Center, a customer must provide a cashed check, or the gym room customer card, or the Fitness Center service agreement.

Chapter 2. THE FITNESS CENTER ACTIVITY

6. The work time of the Fitness Center:

Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 11 p.m.
Saturday – Sunday: 10 a.m. – 11 p.m.

From June 1 to August 31:

Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 11 p.m.
Saturday – Sunday: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.

On each last Monday of a month the Fitness Center is closed for cleaning.

7. The sauna services:

  • for individuals: a one-time visit without preliminary booking, cash payment on the spot (on a space available basis); 

With preliminary booking:

  • for individuals: a one-time visit with preliminary booking, cash payment on the spot, booking is made not later than 1 day before a visit;
  • for juridical persons: the Library and the customer conclude an agreement for Fitness Center services for fixed term, with cashless settlement.

8. The fitness center services are provided:

  • a one-time visit without preliminary booking cash payment on the spot for individuals;
  • with preliminary booking (for juridical persons): the Library and the customer conclude an agreement for Fitness Center services for fixed term, with cashless settlement;
  • the FC customer card (for individuals): the services are rendered by early payment, the customer card is valid during 30 days from the due date. The customer card validity and other data are fixed in a customer card form by a manager of the Fitness Center. One customer card is valid for one and (or) several persons. Every card has an ID. T

9. Training charts:

  • 8 two-hour trainings per month;
  • 12 two-hour trainings per month;
  • 16 two-hour trainings per month;
  • 20 two-hour trainings per month.
The Fitness Center does not return money for the classes that a customer misses or after the expiry of the card.

10. The cost of the Fitness Center services is evaluated by the Service Price List of the National Library of Belarus. Note:
  • the minimum term of a one-time visit to the gym room is 1 hour for the Library employees and 2 hours for other customers;
  • the minimum term of a visit to the gym room for holders of a customer card is 2 hours for the customers;
  • the minimum term of a visit to the sauna is 1,5 hours for the Library employees and other customers;
  • the maximum number of visitors in the sauna in one time is 8 .

Chapter 3. CUSTOMERS’ RIGHTS

11. Customers have a right to:

  • receive information about the work time of the Fitness Center;
  • use the Fitness Center services;
  • visit the Fitness Center during its working hours only;
  • make proposals on the the Fitness Center services.

Chapter 4. THE CUSTOMERS’ DUTIES

12. Customers must:

  • use carefully the equipment of the Fitness Center;
  • be respectful towards employees and customers of the Fitness Center;
  • consult a doctor before using the Fitness Center;
  • be personally responsible for his state of health;
  • follow administrator’s guidelines when visiting the sauna;
  • follow administrator’s and trainer’s guidelines when visiting the gym room;
  • have appropriate sportswear and gym shoes;
  • use sport equipment and choose the intensity of training sessions according to individual training level;
  • put equipment in the place after a training session;
  • keep the peace andcleanness in the Fitness Center;
  • comply with the current Regulations and the safety measures and preventive fire-fighting regulations.
13. It's forbidden:
  • break the rules of public peace;
  • use broken sport equipment;
  • damage the Fitness Center property;
  • take away the Fitness Center property;
  • place advertisements, posters or other advertising material, doing commercial activity without permission;
  • bring cold steel or firearms, explosives, highly inflammable or fragrant objects in the Fitness Center;
  • wear unclean clothing, visit the Fitness Center in a poor state of health, alcohol-fuelled or in a state of intoxication.

Chapter 5. THE CUSTOMERS’ RESPONSIBILITIES

14. Customers are liable for:

  • damaging or taking away equipment and other property of the Fitness Center;
  • misuse of equipment and other property of the Fitness Center causing damage to employees and customers of the Fitness Center;
  • violation of rights of other customers and employees of the Finess Center.
15. For non-observance of the current Regulations customers can be expelled from the Fitness Center.

Chapter 6. THE RIGHTS OF THE FITNESS CENTER ADMINISTRATION

16.The Fitness Center Administration has a right to:

  • change the current Regulations;
  • specify the service procedure of the Fitness Center;
  • specify the term of banning for customers breaking the current Regulations;
  • claim damages in conformity with the legislation of the Republic of Belarus.

Chapter 7. THE DUTIES OF THE FITNESS CENTER ADMINISTRATION

17. The Fitness Center Administration must:

  • provide high quality customer service;
  • notify customers on any change in the current Regulations;
18. The Fitness Center Administration is not responsible for safety of customers’ money and other property.
