Rules for visiting the Fitness center’s Gym

CHAPTER 1
GENERAL PROVISIONS

1. The rules for visiting the Gym of the fitness centre of the state institution "National Library of Belarus" (hereinafter referred to as the Rules) were developed in accordance with the Resolution of the Ministry of Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus No 60 dated 31.08.2018 "On approval of the safety rules for conducting physical culture and sports sessions" and determine the procedure for visiting the Fitness centre of the state institution "National Library of Belarus" (hereinafter referred to as the Visitors) in order to create safe and comfortable conditions for training.

2. To visit the Gym of the Fitness centre (hereinafter referred to as the FOK) a Visitor must purchase a subscription or one-time pass. At the entrance, you must present a subscription or one-time pass and carefully read these Rules.

Payment for services is the Visitor's consent to these Rules.

The cost of Gym services is determined by the current Price List of paid services provided by the state institution "National Library of Belarus".

3. Access to the FOK of the National Library of Belarus (hereinafter referred to as the Library) and use of its services is allowed only during its opening hours.

4. In case of incomplete use of the paid time of the provided service, no monetary refund is made, and the subscription is not renewed after the expiration of its validity period.

5. The subscription is extended if the Visitor was unable to use the services of the FOK due to illness upon presentation of a supporting document (a temporary disability certificate or a certificate from the attending physician).

6. Sessions that the Visitor missed due to reasons related to the work of the FOK are compensated in the form of additional days of visits, extension of the subscription validity period.

7. The administration has the right to refuse access to the Gym to persons who are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

8. Persons who have reached the age of 14 are allowed to take independent sessions in the Gym.

9. Children under 14 years old can enter the Gym only when accompanied by their parents or family representatives (at least 18 years old) or a coach.

10. Prior to the session, the administrator has the right to:

assess the Visitor's overall physical development and condition.

find out if the Visitor has any illnesses, injuries, or contraindications to certain types of sessions and strength training, and then make a decision on whether to conduct sessions, and inform the Visitor and, if necessary, the Library management about this.

11. Before starting sessions in the Gym, Visitors are advised to undergo a medical examination. When purchasing a one-time pass or a subscription, the Visitors confirms that they can receive the FOK’s service due to their health condition.

12. The Visitors are personally responsible for their health.

CHAPTER 2
VISITORS DUTIES

13. Visitors can start training in the FOK’s Gym only after reading these Rules.

14. Visit the Gym in sports uniforms, clothing that does not restrict movement, in a change of clean sports shoes.

15. Comply with reasonable requirements of the administrator.

16. In order to prevent injuries, start sessions with a mandatory general warm-up.

17. Eliminate food intake immediately before and during exercise.

18. Before using the special equipment of the Gym, check with the methodologist-instructor, what safety measures should be observed on this or that simulator, and what to pay special attention to.

19. Strictly observe safety measures during training on the simulator/ power machines.

20. Inform the methodologist-instructor about medical contraindications to active loads or a special type of motor activity.

21. If you feel unwell during sessions, you should stop training and inform the methodologist-instructor (administrator) about it.

22. Use sports and other equipment of the Gym in accordance with its intended purpose.

2.11. Use only serviceable simulators and equipment; be sympathetic to inconveniences during the repair of simulators.

23. If a malfunction of the sports equipment is detected in the Gym, immediately inform the methodologist-instructor (administrator) about it.

24. If you have any questions about the operation and configuration of the simulator, please contact the methodologist-instructor.

25. For safety reasons, perform weight exercises in the Gym with a partner.

26. When working with weights (barbell), be sure to use clamps and locks, check their serviceability.

27. Do not use the simulator during pauses between sets.

28. When performing exercises with a barbell, basic exercises (bench press, squats with a barbell) must be performed with insurance from the partner).

29. It is not allowed to overload training devices in excess of the norm by additional hanging of loads.

30. It is forbidden to put water bottles on sports equipment connected to the power grid.

31. During training, you must always use towels.

32. It is forbidden to take weight plates, dumbbells, barbell bars with wet or sweaty hands. This can cause your hands to slip and their fall.

33. It is recommended to remove items that pose a danger when working out in the Gym (watches, dangling earrings, etc.), remove piercing and other foreign objects from your pockets.

34. Be polite, do not refuse others a request to work out with them on the simulator or gymnastic apparatus number two.

35. It is necessary to move around the Gym slowly, without entering the work area of other occupants. It is forbidden to run, jump or distract the attention of attendees in other ways.

36. Be constantly attentive, do not allow movements and actions that can be traumatic for others.

37. When listening to music while working out on the treadmill, use your personal headphones.

38. Take care of sports equipment and equipment.

39. Keep the Gym clean and tidy.

40. After your own sessions to put the initial weight of the gymnastic apparatus.

41. After training, put the place of sessions in order, collect and put sports equipment in their places.

42. Follow the rules of personal hygiene.

43. The Visitor is obliged to observe and maintain public order and generally accepted norms of behavior, behave respectfully towards other Visitors and service personnel.

44. In case of emergency situations, leave the FOK building according to the escape route schemes, keeping calm, without creating panic.

CHAPTER 3
VISITORS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO

45. If injuries and general illness are contraindicated, don't work out in the gym.

46. Go to the Gym while drunk.

47. Use disrespectful or abusive words while addressing FOK personnel or other visitors.

48. Enter the FOK with pets.

49. Enter the technical and service areas that are clearly designated with the signs "Service area" or "Entry banned". Visitors who enter these locations are responsible for any violations of the law.

50. Make video and photographic recordings in the FOK without the library administration's consent.

51. Start sessions without a change of athletic shoes or clothing, and work out with just your torso exposed.

52. Remove the complex's material assets (inventory, equipment components, etc.) from outside the Gym.

53. It is not permitted for visitors to the gym to bring or consume food, alcoholic beverages, or chewing gum.

54. Smoking (including cigarettes, shisha, and vapes).

55. Go barefoot or train in open shoes, wear spiked high heels, or wear street shoes.

CHAPTER 4
THE ADMINISTRATION IS NOT RESPONSIBLE

56. If the Visitor's health has deteriorated due to an acute sickness, an exacerbation of an accident, or a chronic disease, as well as if the cause of the harm to health was a violation of the regulations for using exercise equipment or a violation of the method for using sports equipment, free weights.

57. For bodily harm brought on by unlawful acts of third parties when the visitor flagrantly disregards the applicable safety regulations.

58. For children who are on the FOK's territory without adult supervision.

59. For misplaced or abandoned objects.

60. For technical difficulties associated with performing seasonal preventive, repair, and construction work in FOK in accordance with sanitary norms and rules.

CHAPTER 5
RESPONSIBILITY

61. These Rules govern interactions between library personnel and visitors and are based on mutual civility and concern. All disagreements between Library staff and patrons are settled by dialogue or in line with the legal process as established at the time.

62. The Administration is not liable for any damages caused by force majeure.

63. According to existing law, gym visitors are financially responsible for any destruction, loss, or damage to material items or library property.

64. In the case that property is lost or damaged, the visitor agrees to make up the difference by paying the FOK for the losses incurred as a result of the damage up to the cost of restoring the property.
