The exhibition "The Future is for Youth!" dedicated to the International Youth Day. It's on show in the Official Documents Service Department (room 207) from August 7 to September 14.
The first Belarusian printer Francysk Skaryna began publishing in 1517 in Prague. The first book with a note about the date of its completion was the “Psalter”. Thanks to this, we know not only the year, but also the birthday of the Belarusian printed book. It was on August 6, 1517.
The collections of the National Library of Belarus can boast of several herbaria dated 15th – 16th centuries. You can find images of plants that Harry Potter studied in potions lessons in these ancient books.
Algerd Abukhovich (pseudonym Graf Bandinelli, August 6, 1840 - August 22, 1898) entered the history of Belarusian literature as a poet, realist writer, and translator, one of the founders of the Belarusian fable, fiction and memoirism.
