On November 1 the exhibition complex (Room 104) will host a presentation of calendars donated by the Belarusian designers’ union.
On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the National Library of Belarus, the collection of calendars of the Belarusian Union of Designers has been expanded. Chairman of the Union Dmitry Sursky handed over more than 100 different-format calendars. Most of them are domestic calendars of the 19th century, the authors of which are Belarusian designers. Some of them are gifts from foreign colleagues.
Only part of the collection is shown at the exhibition. Most of them are image calendars of various organizations with reproductions of works by world and Belarusian artists and graphic artists (Salvador Dali, Gavriil Vashchenko, Konstantin Gubarev, Vladimir Savich, Nikolai Seleshchuk, etc.), photo artists (Vadim Kachan, Igor Savchenko, Anatoly Kleshchuk, etc.).
Special attention should be paid to the calendars created as part of the educational projects “preserving traditions, we build the future” and “remembering the past, moving into the future”, which, in addition to presenting the customer's activities, combine and present historical and cultural artifacts stored in museums and libraries of our country.
The exhibition project will run until November 30, 2022.
The end date of the exhibition can be changed.
Entrance to the exhibition is available by the library ticket or ticket of the library's social and cultural center.
The opening hours of the exhibition corresponds to the library’s opening hours.
