The Museum of the Book is holding a creative session, dedicated to the first publication of Francisk Skaryna, on September 3rd, which celebrates its 505th-years anniversary.

The Psalter is one of the universal and demanded books of the Old Testament, which contains diverse knowledge. Francisk Skaryna’s publishing business had begun, when the Psalter was issued on August 6th, 1517. By issuing the Psalter, the Belarussian first book publisher had made his dream about publicity of education and enlightenment become true.

Each visitor will be able to:

  • be introduced to the formatting of the Psalter
  • review the Publisher’s sign of Skaryna (image of the sun and the moon) which used by hi throughout his publishing business.

The meeting will provide a unique opportunity to touch the mystery of creating the first book of Francisk Skaryna.

The event is for children of 7-14 years old.

Charge: 4.5 BYN (the charge is for children only, for the adults who guides the children the entrance is free of charge).
