During the International Children's Day celebration, the “Young Belarusian Ex-libris” exhibition was opened in the Book Museum, where the works of the participants of the Ex-libris contest have been presented.

The contest has been timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the National Library of Belarus and the 15th anniversary of the Book Museum.

Creating a book sign is not an easy task, but young artists and bibliologists did an excellent job. Children from 6 to 16 from all over Belarus took part in the project. The exhibition features over 170 art works – ex-libris created by young talents!

Ex-librises are both bookmarks and works of art. Young artists elaborated plots, ideas and painted book signs, conveying the contest theme with laconic means in a small format. The works are very different: some are serious, some are funny, some are black and white and others are colourful. But they are all extraordinary and original.

A serious jury selected the winners. Their works are highlighted in the exhibition in a separate thematic block.

The project partner was OZ company.

The exhibition will be on show in the Book Museum (room 347) until August 31, 2021.
The end date is subject to change.

The opening hours of the exhibition correspond to the working hours of the Book Museum.
Admission is by the library card or by the Social and Cultural Centre ticket.
