On March 24, the National Library hosted a solemn ceremony of awarding the winners following the results of the republican online contest of readers "Oh, Belarus, My Rose"

The online reading contest dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth of the Belarusian writer Vladimir Dubovka was an initiative of the library together with the partners of the project "At the Praise of the Hour, at the Pilgrimage of Life". The media partners who prepared the prizes for the participants were the magazines Byarozka and Maladost (including the Zvyazda Publishing House). The competition was held from October 1 to November 15, 2020.

Deputy Director General of the National Library of Belarus Alies Susha addressed the audience with a welcoming speech. Anastasia Zharskaya, the chief bibliographer of the information and analytical department of the NLB, a member of the organizing committee, spoke about the specifics of the competition.

The event was attended by members of the jury: Associate Professor of the Philological Faculty of the Belarusian State University Irina Bogdanovich and poet, translator, candidate of philological sciences Oksana Danilchik; as well as director of the State Museum of the History of Belarusian Literature Sergei Usik and chairman of the Belarusian Cultural Foundation Tadeusz Struzhetsky.

Dubovki Lyudmila Semenas, who also participated in the online competition.

The warm and sincere atmosphere of the evening with creative performances was supported by the people's literary theater "Living Word" under the leadership of jury member Aliesya Sivokhina and the participants of the competition, who heartfeltly read V. Dubovka's poems and performed songs to the words of the poet. The musical performance of Tatyana Arzhanovskaya's own composition, the winner of the competition in the nomination "For the best musical embodiment of a poem", sounded very cordial.
