“Labyrinth” Gallery (3rd floor)

An exhibition titled Belarus. Personalitieson occasion of the anniversary of Mikalaj Nestsiareuski, Belarusian ceramist artist, sculptor, painter, member of the Belarusian Union of Artists is on show in the LabyrinthGallery (3rd floor) on March 25. The organizers are the National Library of Belarus, Belarusian Union of Artists and Dziatlava State Historical Museum.

Mikalaj Nestsiareuski is a Belarusian artist, ceramist famous for reliefs portraits of legendary figures of Belarus, the author of ornamental murals at the Ploshcha Jakuba Kolasa Station in Minsk, column caps, pilasters, brackets, cornice rosettes and other decorative elements for the Residence of the president (not specified, which one).

Nestsiareuski’s artworks are displayed and stored in museums and private collections of Belarus and abroad. A number of awards, including a medal, “For High Performance in Arts” of the Belarusian Union of Artists, is evidence of his legacy and multifaceted talent.

The exhibition “Belarus. Personalities” demonstrates the images of our homeland, its spaces, familiar fairy-tale sceneries, composed noble bas-reliefs portraits of significant for Belarusian culture and history figures. They give basis and an opportunity to unite, share same thoughts and opinions, listen to one another and come to terms, which is relatable to the announced Year of National Unity.

Admission is by the library card or by the Social and Cultural Centre ticket.

The exhibition is open until May 24, 2021.
