October 29
Labyrinth gallery (3rd floor)

The library will open an exhibition "Font: litera in primo" on October 29. The exhibition timed to the 75th anniversary of the Belarusian State Academy of Arts.

The exposition presents the works of students and teachers of the Belarusian State Academy of Arts: Vsevolod Sventakhovsky, Dean of the Faculty of Design and Decorative and Applied Arts, and Gennady Matsura, Associate Professor of the Department of Graphic Design.

The publications that inspired the artists to create fascinating creativity are kept in the National Library. Gallery visitors will be able to see original fonts compositions during the grand opening.

The combination of letters is primarily intended to convey information. The semantic, artistic, symbolic role of the initial letter (initial, the first letter of the chapter) is well known to researchers and amateurs. A font can also become a message, memory, information and, moreover, a work of art.

The most discerning guests will have the opportunity to admire the elegantly restrained art and enjoy the aesthetic pleasure of visiting the exhibition.

The grand opening of the exhibition will begin at 5 pm in the Labyrinth gallery (3rd floor).

The opening hours of the exhibition correspond to the library’s opening hours.
The admission to the opening is free, further admission with a library card or a ticket of the Social and Cultural Center.

You can visit the exhibition until January 5, 2021.
The opening hours are subject to change.
