On June 23, the library will start the exhibition "The Flame of War Days" dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the victory in World War II and timed to the Independence Day.
The exhibition presents graphic works from the Art Collection of the "Belarusian Union of Artists". The authors are Belarusian artists, participants of the Great Patriotic War.
The exhibition opens with graphic works by Arlen Kashkurevich, People's Artist of Belarus. The plots of the author's series are filled with horror and tragedy of a man facing inhumane circumstances, before the cruel need of the participation.
The exposition is supplemented with the sketches by the Belarusian graphic artists, eyewitnesses of military events: Evgeny Zaitsev, Ivan Tikhonov, Sergey Katkov, Victor Sakhnenko, Victor Zhdan, Nikolai Obrinba, Rosa Dubar, Sergey Romanov and Mikhail Sevruk.
The beginning is at 17 o'clock.
You can visit the exhibition until September 20, 2020 in the Rakurs Gallery (2nd floor).
The exhibition end date is subject to change.
Admission is free on the event day. On other days admission is by library card or by the ticket of the library's social and cultural center.
