The "For Modern Children on the Musical Planet" exhibition is on show in the Music and Audiovisual Documents Reading Room (room 305) from April 2 to July 6.

Music always surrounds us: in the morning, in the afternoon, in the evening, on holidays or during rest. It sounds or simply exists in our thoughts, in our heart. Music for children also performs one of the most important roles. It introduces a child into the world of art, fostering musical taste, developing imagination and creative inclinations, maintaining a positive emotional mood and, no less important, good health. To help a child to enter the world of music - the mission is difficult but important! Therefore, composers and authors always try to create music for children as responsibly as possible.

The exposition presents new and interesting editions of musical works for children by Belarusian authors. These are the collections of songs “Snowflake’s Birthday” by A. Korotkina, “Wonderful Songs” by A. Korolenko, “Little Can Go a Long Way” by L. Kuzmicheva, “Sing Together” by E. Atrashkevich and V. Zhukovich, “Song is a Bird”, “Where the viburnum bloomed” by O. Eliseenkova... Preschool age is the most favourable period for the development of musicality. Musical collections of songs “Vasyely Karagod” by O. Chirkun, “Crystal bell” by E. Aseeva, “The sun is rolling across the sky”, “First songs for children”, “How much music is around” I Zhabko et al.

The exhibition also introduces musical collections of piano music for children, music for accordion, for wind instruments and folk instruments, choral music.

Numerous audio documents complement the exhibition: music for children and music performed by children and children's groups.

The visitors of the exhibition will also be pleased with the musical arrangement for children. There are audio books by B. Sher and S. Nurdqvist, at the exhibition.

There are more than 80 documents in total at the exhibition.
