Spring is a favourite time to so many people. The days are getting longer, nature is awakening from winter sleep, birds singing is heard everywhere. The sky, on which the whole winter did not look, again becomes bright, blue and fathomless deep. The sun warms affectionately and invitingly. The onset of spring fills the air with the aroma of love, hope and celebration.
Just at this inspiring time, we are celebrating International Women's Day. March 8 is one of the most romantic and pleasant holidays of the year. Men are doing their best to please the beautiful half of humanity, compliments are heard everywhere, and the streets, like beautiful greenhouses, are filled with many flowers. Congratulations are addressed to mothers, sisters, grandmothers, daughters!
Books and postcards from the collections of the National Library of Belarus dedicated to International Women's Day are on show at the exhibition.
