The National Library of Belarus and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus have opened the new season of interactiove lectures “Belarusian Music in the World Art Space”.
Musicologists of the National Academy of Sciences will introduce you to the history of Belarusian music of the 19th – early 20th centuries, revealing little-known facts about the work of Stanisław Moniuszko, Florian Miladowski, Michał Kleofas Ogiński and other outstanding composers.
Ethnomusicologists will talk about the calendar, rites and traditions of Belarusians and share unique archival and expeditionary audio and video materials.
The concerts-lectures are held with the participation of the Cantus Alba Rutheniae chapel under the direction of Galina Tsmyg. You will be able to not only listen to the music but also perform some samples.
