We invite you to take part in a round table dedicated to the Brest Bible, 0n November 14.


  • The Brest Bible as a masterpiece of Belarusian book-printing in the 16th century.
  • The printing house in Brest and Belarusian book-printing of the 16th century.
  • Belarusian incunabula.
  • The book culture of Belarus and written traditions of the Reformation and the Renaissance.
  • Translations of the Bible in Belarus in the 16th – 18th centuries.
  • Facsimile edition of old books as a cultural and educational mission.

Scientists, historians, representatives of libraries, archives and museums are invited. Send your application up to November 10, 2019. Please indicate the topic(s) of your report.

Lodging, meal and transportation expenses are to be paid by participants.

The Partisan Archives: a multimedia project


The first issue of the Partisan Archives series will be presented at the library, on November 19. The documentary publication Operational and Intelligence Reports of the Belarusian Headquarters of the Partisan Movement: 1944 (in Russian: Оперативные и разведывательные сводки Белорусского штаба партизанского движения: 1944 год) is a joint multimedia project of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus and the National Library of Belarus. The publication is dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from Nazi invaders.

Secrets of the Parisian Stage


“Secrets of the Paris Stage,” a book-illustrative exhibition dedicated to the 155th birthday of the outstanding French painter and graphic artist Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec (1864–1901), runs in the fine arts room number 306, from November 14 to December 10.

Beat Diabetes


“Beat Diabetes,” a thematic exhibition timed to the World Diabetes Day, is open in the international organizations’ room (207g), from November 13 to December 18.
