From August 9 to October 14 the exhibition dedicated to the 90th birthday of the Belarusian poet, prose writer and playwright Ales Staver (1929–1995) is held in the Belarusian Literature reading room (205).

Alexander Staver is one of workers and stars who modestly shone themselves and generously shared this light with others. A feature of the writer's works is a historical theme, folklore imagery, folk traditions, and plot. The author glorifies the people’s heroic and labor exploits. Clarity of thought, sincerity, and delicate lyricism are characteristic of poetry. The facts of personal biography, romantic impulses and real everyday life: all this is organically combined in the writer's work.

Ales Staver’s poetry is characterized by imagery close to folklore, colloquial intonation, chant, and melody. Many of his poems were set to music and became famous songs. Music editions are exposed too.

Another section of the exhibition is dedicated to the life and creative path of Ales Staver.

The opening hours of the exhibition corresponds to the library’s opening hours.
Entrance to the exhibition is available by the library ticket or ticket of the library's social and cultural center.
