From April 18 an exhibition of graphics by Fyodor Shurmelyov "Sign and Meaning" is held.
Fyodor Shurmelev is a member of the Belarusian Union of Artists, graduated of the Arts Department of the Belarusian State Academy of Arts with a degree in graphics (2017), master of art history (2018).
It would seem that the Fyodor’s life just starts. However, today the artist has both international recognition and portfolio of highly evaluated works.
In the National Library of Belarus, Fyodor Shurmelev presents an exhibition of graphics “Sign and Meaning”. The exhibition brings together works from different series, connected by a transparent thought-desire to comprehend reality, to see and understand its signs. Book illustrations and individual graphic works by the artist are represented at the Library.
Visitors will get acquainted with the series of works "Moving", "Elements of the Earth", "Ancient Greek myths about the astrological signs" and others, as well as lithographs and linocuts. There are also individual works, illustrations and ot raises the most difficult questions: ecology, the meaning of life, creativity, self-consciousness.
You can visit the exhibition until June 1, 2019 in the Panorama Gallery (22nd floor).
The end date of the exhibition can be changed.
The opening hours of the exhibition corresponds to the library’s opening hours.
Entrance to the exhibition is available by the library ticket or ticket of the library's social and cultural center.
