An exhibition dedicated to the Notre-Dame de Paris was opened in solidarity in the Book Museum on April 16.
On April 15 a real cultural catastrophe has happened: the fire sprang into a blaze in the Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral in France. This Gothic temple was not just a symbol of the French capital, but also entered the treasury of world culture. People from all over the world went to Paris to look at this architectural masterpiece. He attracted many artists and writers.
Over the centuries the fate of the cathedral were forming differently. He was repeatedly destroyed and reborn. In the 19th century the temple had such serious damages that they raised the question on its demolition. The eponymous historical novel by Victor Hugo, published in 1831, contributed to the salvation of the cathedral from destruction. In 1841, the restoration of the church began and lasted more than 20 years.
