The National Library of Belarus and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus present an exceptional joint project “Belarusian Music in the World Art Space”.

Musicologists and ethno-musicologists will speak about the musical traditions of the Belarusians in a fascinating and popular form, demonstrate unique archival and expeditionary audio and video materials and present compositions by modern Belarusian composers, choral and sacred music. At the lectures it will be used multimedia technologies and the performance on musical instruments.

At the concerts-lectures of the musical chapel of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus under the direction of G.Tsmyg you will not only hear Belarusian folk music, but also you could take part in the performance of some samples.

Under a High Star of Poetry

An exhibition titled “Under the High Star of Poetry”, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Belarusian poet, literary critic, PhD in philological sciences Mikola Arochka (1930–2013) is on show in the Belarusian Literature Reading Room (room 205) from 12 November through 30 December.
