Twelve female images, respecting the months of the calendar year, are on display. The exhibition’s centerpiece is nymphs of trees, beautiful patroness of forests, mythical creatures, who can predict the future and even help in trouble. Dryads are trying to talk but cannot speak the human language. They have you, until you are delighted.
Belarusian nymphs uniquely combine avant-garde costumes made in the techniques of Shibari, batik and felting-crazy, elaborated hairstyles and makeup, original author's decorations in the form of crowns, tiaras, masks made of stones and metal.
The author of the idea is photographer Anna Gert. The master’s original "handwriting" is photographs taken through a huge watercolor painted glass, their minimal processing, natural materials, water and printing on canvas. All together is an example of a unique author’s watercolor photo art.
Together with Anna, the whole team worked on the project: fashion designer Alla Sviridenko, avant-garde jewelry designer Daria Polujan, stylist Nadiezhda Slizhevskaya, and author of literary texts Nadiezhda Podrez.
The project brings together woman's beauty and flora. Delicate flowers and powerful trees are natural architecture with strong energy. The authors would like to identify and catch it in the moment of manifestation.
The exhibition runs in the gallery “Atrium” (3rd floor), from February 19 to March 24, 2019.
