The exhibition “Tender, Cute, Kind”, timed to the Mother's Day (October 14) is held from October 12 to November 30 in the library (2nd floor, circular corridor).
In every person’s fate all the kindest and holiest things are connected with the name of the mother. Her love and tenderness gives us the desire to multiply our sense of kindness, give it to people and thereby change life for the better.
In the world, the Mother's Day is celebrated at different times. In Belarus, it coincides with a significant Orthodox holiday, the Protection of the Blessed Virgin, on October 14. The establishment of a public holiday symbolizes the special attitude of the state and each person to woman-mother— the keeper of home warmth, goodness and morality. The creative role of the mother, the positive life orientations of the children are the foundations without which it is impossible to strengthen the prestige of the family, the spiritual revival of society and the full development of the state.
The exhibition represents about 150 newest publications concerning issues, the most important for every caring mother: parenting, healthy lifestyles, proper nutrition, respect for family traditions and way of life, planning, development and creation of comfort in the house.
A special section of the exhibition titled "The genius mothers in the history of mankind" is dedicated to women who have raised great personalities: the future statesmen, scientists, philosophers, artists, poets and writers.
Also there are books about Belarusian mothers-heroines who have brought up five or more children. Their merits are marked by high state awards and titles, respected teams in which they work or have worked.
The exposition will be interesting to the wide audience, especially to young mothers, who will get a lot of useful tips and advice.
The opening hours of the exhibition corresponds to the library’s opening hours.
Entrance to the exhibition is available by the library ticket or ticket of the library's social and cultural center.
