The year of 2020 is declared the Year of the Native Land in the Republic of Belarus. For each person, the native land is the place where he was born and raised, where he realized first himself as a person. To Remember his origins, preserve traditions and multiply cultural values, there is the duty of every citizen of our country.
In the frameworks of the Year of the Native Land the National Library of Belarus organizes excursions "Famous names of Motherland", dedicated to the life and work of Yanka Kupala, Yakub Kolas, Yanka Maur, Maxim Bahdanovich, Kandrat Krapiva, Francysk Skaryna, Mark Chagall. Tourists will have a unique opportunity to learn interesting facts of the outstanding personalities’ biographies and the regions from where they come from. Visitors will see the books, posters, postcards, photographs and photographic reproductions from the collections of the National Library of Belarus.
During the excursion the library guests will learn the architectural features of the building, the ordering and delivery documents system, visit the book museum and one of the reading rooms.
Groups are formed up to 15 people. Excursions are organized by advance booking between 10.00 and 18.00 from Tuesday to Saturday.
