A Journey to the Book Treasure Land: a tour for children

A thematic excursion is designed for children aged 10 to 12.

During an exciting journey to the “diamond of knowledge” children will learn about ancient writing devices and different kinds of the book, will see the old manuscripts, printed and rare books of the XV–XXI centuries created in Belarus and other countries.

Kids will get acquainted with ancient typesetting machines and printing plates, and will learn some secrets of making paper with watermarks and other old technologies.

Young travelers to the land of book treasures will be able to turn over the pages of unique hand-written and printed artifacts.

The excursion expands the knowledge of national and world book culture and promotes the interest and respect for the book.
