Editing a research paper bibliography

The National Library of Belarus provides a paid service: editing a scientific paper bibliography, according to requirements of the current regulatory instruments:

  • preparation standards for a bibliographic entry and bibliographic description;
  • Instruction on the procedure for registration of a qualification scientific work (thesis) for the academic degrees of the candidate and doctor of science, the author's abstract and publications on the topic of the dissertation (approved by Resolution of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus No. 3 dated February 28, 2014);
  • samples of a bibliographic description (approved by Order of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus No. 159 dated June 25, 2014).

Bibliography editing orders can be placed by users inside the library and remotely via the online store of the National Library of Belarus.

For service order, you should apply to the reading room of the information service department (2nd floor, room 257) providing the electronic copy of a bibliography (you don’t need to provide a scientific paper). All necessary corrections to a bibliographic description will be made in the file. Scientific papers are not edited and grouping of entries in lists of references is not made.

An order is fulfilled within 2-10 working days, depending on the size, urgency, status and priority. Payment is made after the work is performed, in accordance with the current Price List.

To place an order online, go to the online store.

If you want to prepare a scientific paper bibliography by yourself, you can get free qualified help from bibliographers:

  • in the reference service hall (room 257);
  • by attending free classes (on each last Wednesday of a month at 17.00, room 257с).
  • A guidebook for scientists, students and bibliographers on preparing a scientific paper is available at the kiosk in the central foyer of the library.
