The art exhibition of Vladimir Chernyshov “The bells” will open in the library on May 4th.


The personal exhibition of Vladimir Chernyshov is associated with the chime of the bells, the sound of which has left a mark on the artist's heart.

On his canvases, the great figures of culture and art are portrayed – Sergei Rakhmaninov, Fedor Shalyapin, Rostislav Yankovsky, Anna Pinkevich, Nikolai Kryuchkov, Yuri Ivanov, Sergey Katier, the legendary Beatles and many other outstanding personalities. All of them are the “bells of their time”, whose names once sounded loud and continue to sound to present day. Some personal melodies are among the works, for instance, “The Portrait of the Mother”, a remembrance bell that rings in the artist's memory with a warm and bright melody.

Vladimir Chernyshov is a talented and dedicated master, painter and graphic artist, theater and cinema artist, member of three creative communitiesof our country – the Unions of Artists, Cinematographers and Theatrical Figures. He is also the deputy chairman of the Belarusian Society of Creative Amateurs named after Fyodor Shalyapin.

The master's works are in the collections of the National Art Museum of Belarus, the Belarusian Union of Artists, galleries of many Russian cities, private collections in the USA, France, Denmark, Italy.

The opening ceremony starts at 4 p.m. in the gallery “Rakurs” (2nd floor).

The exhibition will run till 15 June, 2017.

The exhibition ending date may be changed.

On April 24, 2024, at the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Rumyantsev Readings-2024" in Moscow, Olga Polunchenko, chief bibliographer of the Department of reference and Information Services, presented a report "The role of Adam Shanyavsky in organizing the library fund of the Nesvizh County School (the last quarter of the XVIII century)."
