N. Nikolsky

Nikolay Nikolsky
(13(01).11.1877 – 19.11.1959)

Historian, orientalist, folklorist, statesman. Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (1931), Director of the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of the BSSR (1937–1941, 1944–1953), Professor (1918), Doctor of Historical Sciences (1934), Honored Man of Science of the BSSR (1938).

He was born in Moscow.
