The workers of the reading room provide help to readers in searching needed information. Bibliographers on duty conduct individual counseling on how to find information, about a repertoire of the Library’s electronic resources, search of information on the Internet and in deposit collections of the Division.
Total number of seats for readers is 100, including 17 computers to work with electronic information resources, 12 of which have access to the Internet.

The deposit collection of the reading room represents more than 65 000 documents: books and periodicals in Belarusian, Russian and foreign languages. A rich collection of general and specialized encyclopedias, dictionaries, reference books, statistical books, guide books and other editions on all branches of knowledge is available in open access. The closed part of the deposit collection includes general and specialized bibliographies.
Documents from the deposit collection can only be used in the reading room. The reading room doesn’t accept orders from the Library’s general book depository.

• Library service for blind and visually impaired users.

• bibliographic reference service;
• revision of user’s bibliography;
• factographic reference service;
• information retrieval on user request;
• order of documents by the electronic catalog of the National Library of Belarus;
• copying of electronic information to the user’s removable media;
• print of electronic information.

The opening hours of the reading room correspond to the opening hours of the Library.
